Several people have asked me what am I up to these days? I dont have a ready reply, but I embarked writing about my pictures and paintings a few months ago, and as I found out, I am now OVERWHELMED! So yes, I have embarked on this because I like the pictures and paintings I have been fortunate enough to be around in this life. My first thought is that I might try and create a new body of work, but no, I always responded by not confronting, fully, the images around me. This is perhaps reflecting my life in general. Not confronting. My current efforts revolve around a series of 4x5 images created in the early 1990’s, the current-ish digital images from Europe (2003-2010 pre-stroke) and the third aspect, is my paintings. I have discovered that I have TOO much to say, and it might be several years in the making, but what the hell. This makes sense to me. I have made copious images in the past, why not reflect back on these? Writing has always been a desire of mine, even though I am not articulate in what I wish to say. But that being said, creating the images in the first place and then being able to reflect on these images and WHY I made these in the first place. So as a colleague said, I will say what I want, and let everybody else sort it out.

My paintings remain up at Pacific Grind as well as Volta Gallery in Lincoln City. My paintings at Pacific Grind (wonderful COFFEE!) are from my personal collection and are not for sale. Volta Gallery has some that may be purchased.
